this might be stupid to put out but i keep seeing my slive coin increase and decrease and how do i get more coins? thanks :D

Check the Player Guide section of the forums, it'll tell you nearly all the ways. (If you're lazy -- Guide: Making Money)

Anyways, to sum it up:

You get 500s for voting, daily I think, per vote (3 total). You also get 500 for pounding pets.

Then there is Trading, where you usually sell/buy pets.

You also receive a 'tax' each day, giving you an amount of silver depending on your Townhall level, and if you have a guest. (You're probably losing money here, due to cost to feed pets vs money produced daily.)

Lastly, there is the Quests page, where you send pets, for 4 hours and at least 5 energy, to complete requests.

There is also the Bet Expert gene, but that's another Story :P

As for losing money, there are a couple of ways:

Each pet needs to eat, if I remember correctly it was 18 units of food daily, if you don't have enough, it'll take it from your silver reserves, and though it cost 1s each, for a total of 18s per pet, it adds up.

You also spend money training your pets at the riding hall. There is also a guide somewhere with the cost/formula for it.

Lastly, if you buy stuff, of course your money would decrease.

You missed out what I think is the best source and thats exploring the islands. A level 50 pet can get over 500 coins from a single chest and can easily pick up over a thousand coins on each explore.
