I have a male throdama who completed exploring his 20 islands, therefore getting the Scout(?) Pheromone. Today, I finally found a female and bred them together. She doesn't have any pheromones active, as I just got her.

Will I get a morph from this pairing, or do both parents need to have the right pheromone in order to produce a morph?

Sadly, no. You cannot hope to get a morph by just breeding. Unless...well...if you understand this....

When a female throdama is pregnant, you will be able to choose maximum three brood carers for her baby from her profile (down, left). The number of brood carers (throdamas with completed pheromone task(s)) effect on the grade of morph. The brood carers will care for only one type of morph that you will choose. When the baby will be born, the brood carers will start caring and preparing the baby to be a morph. Finally when the baby will grow up to be an adult, he will be a morph. Screenshot link

P.S, I'm not really good at explaining things. But I hope this was helpful. :)
