I check the forums on a fairly frequent basis, usually at least a couple times a day, to see if there are new threads or posts in threads I made or am a part of so I can keep track of the ones that I'm involved in. I'll see posts that are meant for me to read in threads such as my Symurgh Giveaway, and in other forums I'll want to include a small reply meant to respond to a specific user's post and what they said.

However, when making such replies, the closest thing I know of to indicate you're talking to them specifically is using something like "@-insert username- :: -insert message-". I think including a quote feature in the forums would be useful. When a user is quoted they could receive a notification in their PM box so they become aware of it in case they overlooked the post in the forums. And in using the quotes you could include their previous message, or the part you're referring to in your post, so they know exactly what you're responding to.

This is a good idea but it has already been done.

Under the username, picture and everything of one person's post there is the [Quote] button in orange

I see the quote there but I've never used it before; testing it now with you :P Does it send a notice to the user that they were quoted? That's one of the things I wanted most out of a quote feature. It could come in handy for things like sending announcements in breeding groups without having to send PMs to everyone; you could just do a post quoting all of the members.

I also see that after clicking [Quote] there is this indent that you can not undo and it does not put the name of the user quoted with their quote.

hmm, I see. I guess it does maybe need a few tweaks. Especially the one where it should put the name down. I mean, one can always type it in, but it would be easier for it the place the name automatically.

Also no it does not send a message to a user when they have been quoted. It would have nice to recieve some kind of mesage, and that is big since we are having a conversation.

This would help alot with sales and maybe roleplay? Maybe to have it work a littl elike the "subscribe to thread" button.
