I've got a premium membership and while the warning shows up when I breed with other peoples' pets, there is no warning if I breed my own pets together and they are closely related.

It should work for breeding with your own pets as well. Could you please provide the links to a couple of pets that you're trying to breed?

Fortunately, I didn't discover this with any good pets, but when I was breeding SPSB fodder I should have gotten warnings for every pet because that line is deliberately inbred.

Inbreeding warning appears only when degeneration grade increases to let the player prevent the unwanted result. Breeding two pets with degeneration grade 3 won't give a warning because there's no 4th grade and it can't be increased further. It would be kind of useless and require additional clicks and page load while result stays the same no matter if the pets related or not.
