So. My dragon Alizarin is named so because it was born a piebald red. While exploring an island I encountered a building that gave me the option to pay a certain amount for a random change to one of his color genes. I paid and it said "Silver turned to White." I assumed it must have changed his recessive gene, which was (and is) unrevealed.

Nope. He's white now.

So... why did it say Silver and not Red? Does Silver gene + Piebald gene = Red Piebald somehow? Very confused. O.o

EDIT: I think I may have this figured out... I just got both of his color genes revealed, finally, and his recessive is Red. The only thing I can imagine is that used to be his dominant gene, and the color change thing not only turned his recessive gene (which must've been silver) to white, it also made that gene dominant. Which has not happened other times I've used the color hut thing - it's changed the recessive color without making it dominant. Is it supposed to work this way or was this a bug?

It's not a bug. Every gene has its power. White has 90, red has 50 so white is dominant over red for Dragons. Please check List of Genes to see the power of all genes. The only case when default gene power may change is getting bad genes through the degeneration.

Oh! I noticed that, but somehow it didn't occur to me that it applied to color, too, or that it would make a difference in that context. Thanks so much for explaining that! I was pretty confused. XD
