I would like to know if we are able to permanently remove old posts; as I have a thread which isn't being used. I'd like to remove it somehow.

No, but I can. PM me with a link to the thread you want to remove. if you post in the title of the thread "remove please" or "lock" and delete the content- I will hapily remove it when I see it. Or you can just pm me :)
