so one day I put my sqaud in the battlefield then the next day my squad was not on the battlefield.
waht is goimg on?

Your squad was probably attacked and there was nowhere on the map to retreat so they had to leave the battle field.
You can check to see if your squad was attacked on the Mass Battle page log.
