Agile Paws is supposed to occasionally give vermillion when you open chests on islands. And I've indeed seen it often in Grasslands:

You found Vermillion from magic seal(2).

But now that I've kept track of it, that seems to never happen in the Jungle biotope. No matter how many agile paw pets I send to explore, I've never got extra vermillion from chests there.

Maybe it's just bad luck on my part, but it might be worthwhile to check if that's working correctly.

Jungle biotope doesn't have Forest Beasts who are the only monsters that seal chests with blood seals for the moment. Did you encounter them in the jungle? If so, this is really a bug because they shouldn't be there. At the same time this is an explanation why there were no seals on their chests.

Oh. That's the first time I've ever heard of that.
The gene description just says that it gives extra vermillion from chests, I had no idea that it had to be specific chests.

No wonder vermillion's been in such a short supply lately. Most players probably don't focus on exploring the grasslands, so there's barely ever any for sale on the market. And it takes about twenty islands to find enough to research just one pet.

Gene description says that it gives higher chance (not extra units) to extract vermillion from magic seals on chests.

More elaborate description of seals and how they work was in this news post: http://beastkeeper.com/thread/369

Probably it's a good idea to place this info in FAQ as well.
