Hello fellow BeastKeepers,

There was a small issue that caused the wrong display of genetic tests for pets with deviant colors. Alchemists in genetics labs used a wrong serum to test samples for the mutant factor, so lab reports for pets with deviant colors always contained color gene marked as a deviant, and never included deviant patterns. In fact the pets with deviant patterns were born too. Laboratory technicians are very sorry for this oversight. The problem was handled and now the deviation star is displayed correctly. There's a total of 11 pets who had wrong marks in their genetics charts.

Another question: Do deviant color or pattern shows if you don't research the genes?

The colors and patters I have seen developed are awesome, thanks for this update Angel.

Sandia, if you look at the color on the stats page, deviants will have a * behind the color. If you research the genes, all you need is to find ONE of the color or pattern genes to find out if you have a pattern or color deviant becau se a star will show beside the gene that caused the mutation. For example, if the color is silver gray*, and you research and find the color Gray with no star, you know the pattern is what is deviant (in this case, cream, cream)... Remembering that BOTH dominant and rescesive of the mutant gene has to be the same, as soon as you know one (dominant or rescessive) you will know the other.

In many cases it seems that in the foals with mutant genes several of the genes are same for dominant and recessive. Not sure if that's odd coincidence or a byproduct of the mutation.
