The number of children are the actual ones
but the breedings are intentional breedings. The others are with the egg building in the desert islands which are not counted when the pet get pregnant by the Europa genes.

It is likely that the pet either had induced twins or it was from the fertilization project on the islands. Breedings there do not use up any of your avaliable ones since they are with random pets and such ^^
