With the upcoming addition of new environments I think it would be cool if a pet's species or color could give it some kind of bonus when exploring an appropriate terrain type. For example white or nearly/mostly white pets get a bonus in the tundra/arctic, reptiles in deserts, flying pets in the mountains, nonflyers and throdamas in caves/underground, unicorns and symurghs in volcanic or otherwise devastated areas, greenish pets in jungles, ect.

Good bonuses for pets in their best terrain might be temporary increases to stats and/or XP gain or an increased chance of finding whatever items are exclusive to that terrain.

Sounds incredibly complex to program out but would add a whole other dimension to breeding and gameplay at the same time. loving it ^.^
