I don't know how to do it. Well I do I just can't color it and such. And I think it would be really cool to make one. Like a unicorn star galaxy. (don't take my idea) I would really like help.
Thank you- avatar

Check out this link to see what programs you can use to make skins on. There are links to free downloads a few posts down: http://beastkeeper.com/thread/4107
Angel also posted a coloring tutorial here (for use in Photoshop, but it can be applied elsewhere): http://beastkeeper.com/color-tutorial
Also I recommend looking at Deviantart.com. They have many tutorials that can help familiarize you with different programs, styles, highlighting/shading, and so on. I gained all my artistic knowledge here. If you are lucky you can catch some artists livestreaming their drawing procces. If you are a visual learner this is super helpful. Not only does it help you see the process- but you can understand how others use the program.
I also suggest the use of a graphics table. I use a Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch which helps me SO much with my art. I love it and you can buy them used for fairly cheap on Amazon.com or from sites like Staples.
If all else fails you can commission skins from other users. Some users have set up shots here: http://beastkeeper.com/threads/7
Seelenblut made a galaxy unicorn that is up for public use if you wanted to use their skin:
TheChosenDarkness also made this:
But of course you are welcome to make your own unique skin!

Thank you very much. Now that I created an account how do I make a custom skin on it?

Created an account on what? Deviant art (DA)? DA is mostly for tutorials and learning how to use programs and do things on them. It is where I learned to be an artist and work photoshop and other programs.
You upload skins to Beastkeeper after you have made them using any of the programs I linked to. Then you can upload it here: http://beastkeeper.com/new-color-upload (More info on specifics is here as well).
