I imagine it could go up by 5 for each gentic level. Example;

  • Genetic level 0 - Energy cap 15
  • Genetic level 1 - Energy cap 20
  • Genetic level 2 - Energy cap 25
  • Genetic level 3 - Energy cap 30

Give the amount of work Genetic Level 3 would take to reach, that might be fair?

im a sucker for even numbers :X ... so i would support a cap of 14 (cap of 14 would be +1 energy at lvl 15, +1 energy at lvl 30 +1 at level 40 and one at lvl 50

 

the question with the genetic energy is do they start out with the 5 (10/15/20) extra energy form birth or do they not get it till level 50?

@koben - I'd thought about that, and I was trying to think of a way to write it down that made sense, haha.

We could either;

Option A)
A genetic level 1/2/3 pet is born with 15/20/25 energy and gains 1 energy point every 10 levels

Option B)
A genetic level 1/2/3 pet is born with 10 energy and gains the 5/10/15 energy points over 50 levels, in whatever way that works out mathematically. 

As for even numbers, I think it might be easier to work in multiples of 5 or 10, given the base energy level and the 50 level cap. Personally I think Option A makes sense, and is a good reward for reaching those genetic levels.

Honestly the more pets I get, the more I feel like the energy max should never be raised. IOnce people start getting 50, 100, 200 pets each then even 10 energy will be WAY too much to explore ALL pets.

And believe me, this will happen a lot faster than you might think. In a month this game's pets could more than double.

maybe the genetic gains could be GP1 born with +1, and then +1 ever @15/30/40/50 lvls - total extra energy = 5

gp2 the multiplier would be +2  total extra = 10

gp3 multiplier +3 total extra = 15
