So towards the end of the tutorial you get asked to click on research all genes on one of your pets and I assumed it means that all the genetical information gets revealed.
But actually it seems to only discover some few random ones, so why is that?

This button reveals the number of random genes which you can afford to research (the research of every gene costs 1 vermillion and 100). For example, if you have 11 vermillion and 1056, 10 genes will be researched.
