Agreed. Sacrificing the Vermillion was the absolute LAST thing I did before challenging War.
And I'm still hurting because of it /novermillionnow/

Yeah it did stink, but if you explored and only went to the treasure chests, by the time you got all of the essences, you would have more than enough vermillion. ;D

I'm new here (joined today) what are Kami?

Kami are unique pets that were only available in an event that ended about a week ago. If you check the News tab, you'll see a couple of announcements about them. There are four varieties of Kami, based on the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: Death, War, Famine, and Pestilence. These pets are unbreedable. They aren't included in the List of Skins (located in the upper right Help tab), but you can see what Kami look like here:

I was really close to getting two of the Kami, but we had some freaky weather in my area and the power went out for a day and a half, and the internet was out for longer. So, no Kami. :(
