When I first read the description for the level two laboratory, I was pretty excited for the genetic storage - since I thought it meant that we'd be able to see a full list of genes for each species along with which ones we'd gotten dominant.

But nope, Laboratory 2 only allows you to research busy pets... Pretty disappointing.

Its a little thing, but achievements and collect-them-alls always make games more fun. Heck, I'd even be willing to build a Laboratory level 3 just to get a gene achievement list :P

I would love a gene library... sort of like in FF.... but not really, and it would be searchable so we can see what we have done and see the pets. This would be useful for breeding..

Same, I thought it meant I can look for specific pet genes and research them...

If a kid was beating a dog with a bat, 49% would stop and stare, and 50% would walk away. I am the 1% who would grab the bat and beat the kid.

92% of the girls would cry if Justin Bieber fell off a cliff and died. 7% of the girls would scream and jump off the cliff after him. 1% of the girls would have been the ones who pushed him off the cliff. Put this on your signature if you were the 1% that pushed him off.

Thanks for suggestion.

"Genetic storage" means a place where you can keep the genetic samples from your pets (like blood or tissues). The thing you're suggesting is more about "genetic library" or "archive", like Nightingale said, or even a herd-book if to extend the idea.

We're planning to add achievements in the game and working on this feature for some time already. Though please take into account that we're not pet collecting game and such collecting achievements will probably lead to frustration instead of fun because most of the players will be unable to complete or maintain them. For example, an ordinary collecting task is to collect all pet colors. Right now this is roughly 30x7 = 210 pets which will take all the place in high-level stables without leaving any freedom to breed or catch new ones. Collecting all genes won't be easier an task.

Although collecting type achievements can be added not as a "storage" but as "archive" as was mentioned above. Like the gene, color or something else will be logged by the fact of getting such pet but it's not required to keep it further to keep this log entry.

Also it seems to be reasonable to have achievements that requires quality or renewable quantity (like get X Arena wins with a single pet, defeat all pet species in the Beast Temples with a single pet or maintain control over specific battlefield zone for X hours) instead of collecting.

You already hand out achievement awards for players who win contests, why not ones for just participation?

What about pets who have different colored dominant and recessive gene colors instead of all, "210 pets"

It would be a lot easier to collect all the pet colors with one pet that has Black Dominant and Blue Recessive instead of one pet of each color.

210 pets ÷ each pet with 2 colors = 105 pets.

Or how about easier  unlockable achievements? Collect them-all may be frustration to some players, however, mixing them with Collect-some may be more fun.

Why not try making a collecting task a little easier?

Ex:

Basic Achievement:

Collect X species from the class of Bird to unlock basic bird achievement.

Intermediate Achievement:

Now that we've completed the first checklist, it looks like you found out there's still more to do than collect X species, however, collecting is accumulative... If you already collected, do not fret my friend! You will not need to re-collect them. Now, on to your next task at hand....

Collect at least 50% of the species from a class of bird to unlock Super Bird achievement that transforms your basic bird into a an eagle.

Advanced Achievement:

Congrats on your super bird! Now Collect the remaining 50% the current species of a class of Bird, to unlock and transform that super bird into Descendant of Heroes Bird achievement.

Bonus Achievement:

For completing all the advanced achievements in the achievement category "Class", you will recieve the "World Class" achievement with an added bonus of x% increased energy for one week as an added thank you for all your hard work.
