assuming the gene powers listed in the genetic library are correct for the new genes, I think there must be an error since both genealogist and scholar have a gene power of 55......so what happens if a unicorn has both?

This isn't a new issue, but the same is the case for Fearsome look and Berserker in dragons; the two genes have the same gene power, so if a pet gets one of each, the outcome is unclear.

I actually have a dragon with both fearsome look and berserker. http://beastkeeper.com/pet/42179

I was quite disappointed to find out that he wouldn't have BOTH genes be dominant but instead Fearsome Look has precedence.

I think it's be cool if there were gene combos that allowed both to be expressed as dominant.

Like maybe for dragons, instead of fire gland and napalm gland being different genes, they could be in the same gene category and if your pet has both, both are expressed.

irrimn, thanks for reporting.

There's really a bug but it's a bit different in this case. Dragons shouldn't have Berserk; Pumas should instead. It's a feline gene. It's fixed now and new wild Dragons won't have Berserk, but the old ones will save it. Basically Dragons have the same ability called Boiling Blood but for Internal Organs. New wild Pumas will have Berserk from this moment. We thought that it's unfair to remove this gene from existing Dragons: some users bred such Dragons intentionally. Although the baby Dragons will inherit Berserk gene only if the parent has Berserk both in dominant and recessive slot, otherwise the baby will have the other gene.

Sorry for the confusion.

As a puma breeder, I'm definitely excited about this fix. Just a clarification: will only wild caught pumas past this point have it or can the wild pumas that are currently taming also potentially have the Berserker gene?

thestillpoint, only the wild Pumas which will spawn after this fix can have this gene. The genetics is already determined for the Pumas which are already caught or were wandering at you Manor lands before the fix.

While i'll now have to adjust my dragon breeding, this is great news for Pumas, thanks Angel :)
