I think having a general ranking would be a cool idea. Like instead of putting the pets we have in a ranking, we could put players. I think a game like howrse is a good example. They have a general ranking that ranks the players from best to worst and it updates once a day.

How would this ranking be calculated? Would there be any rewards for ranking high on it?

Overall I don't really feel like this would add much to the game though and there are lots of other ideas I'd like to see done first.
