So, this suggestion might be a little bit harder to code but I think it'd be a useful addition and here's why.

Due to recent changes in exploring, you can only explore a limited amount. It used to be that exploring with a level 50 pet was great because even though you didn't get experience with a level 50 pet, you still got tons of free items. Now that you only have 24 islands per day (if you don't let any lapse at all that is) exploring with a level 50 pets is simply taking food out of the mouths of the hungry, so to speak. The pets that you could be leveling instead get nothing. While the materials are nice, it's still probably better to explore with pets you're trying to level, right?

So that's where the mentor program would come in. The way it'd work is, a level 50 pet would be able to select another pet that wasn't level 50 to mentor. Then, whenever you took the level 50 pet out exploring, any exp you would be getting as the level 50 would be transfered as a percentage to the mentored pet. I'm not sure exactly on the exp ratios but I'm thinking something like 50% of exp. So if the level 50 would have gotten say, 30exp, instead it'd transfer 15 exp to the other pet.

Obviously this would be a great way to get really LOW level pets up to a decent level quickly (like levels 1-20 would be ideal) but then once they got to a sufficient level it'd actually be better to take them out exploring on their own since they could get just as much if not more exp battling themselves.

I feel like this would bridge the gap of uselessness which level 50 pets are currently facing versus exploring other pets that actually need to be explored for exp while still letting you reap the benefits of exploring a level 50 pet (more food and items obviously).

As always, feel free to like/dislike/support/etc and give me your comment on how this idea can be improved.

Support! It's hard to pick and choose between exp/levelling and getting materials.

I am kind of torn on this one. We have the training hall, which is amazing, and actually works out very well as both a silver drain, and a pet leveler. I've been finding it a good tactic to take my level 50's exploring, and just set the rest of them to training. Add in a trainer from an invite and you have a pretty easy, albiet patient and long way of getting pets to the level you want them at.

I feel that a mentor program might be too much of the same thing, except a bit harder to code. I don't see the need for it, if you have a riding hall and are exploring to the max you can with any level 50's you have.

I understand why you are on the fence about this although I just really feel like exploring with level 50 pets has such a small benefit because by the time you get a couple level 50 pets you already have all the buildings and resources you could need. So really the only purpose of level 50 pets is to pick up items you don't really need so you can sell them? Or beat red mobs and pick up treasure chests which isn't any easier at level 50 than it is at level 5 because mobs can go above level 50 so the difficulty stays the same anyways so unless your level 50 doesn't lose battles then it's still risky. Then of course there's the low frequency of good item drops (premium items) and the fact that you get no exp. So overall exploring with a level 50 just seems like a bad idea. The mentor program, while it might take a bit of extra coding, would help balance out these disadvantages so that exploring with a level 50 pet is just as beneficial as exploring with a level 30 pet.

Ooh I love it. And maybe the user can set his/her own price for each week/day etc. of mentoring!

I suppose I support this, although a similar idea has been previously explained in this thread:

I support as well. This suggestion came before the item suggestion though. The thread was just dug back up.
