I found that one quest which I was given was mentioned as being accomplishable by one of my untamed pets. Assuming that untamed pets' characteristics are intended to not be revealed until taming is completed, this allows one to know certain stats regardless of taming status. (It also doesn't help with the quest, since you still can't USE them, simply know of their eligibility.)

Had this happen to me a little eariler with one of my pets as well. I looked at the quest and was given two opions, one was my dragon and the other was a roc that still has a few hours of tame left. He wasn't eligible but it let me know he's got a decent stat.

Did this with a pretty unicorn, but for crafting, not questing. I wanted to make a golem and it let me know the unicorn had 50 Intuition... Not that I could use it yet. XD

Given we are not able to see wild (being tamed) pets stats I'm guessing that they shouldn't appear in the questlist, otherwise that give us a clue to stats.

Messenger Service is looking for a agile (37) and brave (41) Flying Animal to transport a cargo.
The problem is, the possibilities show Ambre, and a wild that has not been tamed, Shadowing. Since wild caught beasts aren't supposed to show their stats, it kind of gave me a hint about Shadow's statistics.

I've seen this as well- but I actually think it's really cool, so unless it's seriously messing stuff up I'd kinda like it if it stayed.
