There are a lot of inn invite items and judging from myself and my friend - there are different types which we prefer not to have, but selling them doesnt seem to be going so well and destroying them seems to be a waste.

So I am suggesting to make a new type of building which we could run into on an island. That building would work similar to scriptorium and allow us exchange one of our invites for the other one, randomly picked by building.

OR

It could be something buildable, working like sancturary - with one charge per day. Again, allowing us exchange one of our invites (selected by user) for a random one, chosen by building.

Edit to clarify: Both buildings would swap invites for invites only.

I like the second suggestion, a buildable thing to randomly change invites - and invites only.

Support for that one. :)

ANYTHING that would make invites worth something is welcome by me. I can't even sell stacks of multiple invites for 10 silver. That's ridiculous. I have to start destroying them to keep them out of my warehouse!

Support. Only a few invites are really useful right now and it would be great to have any chance to trade some of the worthless ones for these, even if it were random.

I fully support this idea -- OR I support making them more useful. I already made a post about how this could be done in another topic: http://beastkeeper.com/thread/1777

Overall I think everyone agree,s there are only a couple really useful invites while the rest are crap in comparison.

Support either of versions, although I personally would prefer 2nd buildable one.

Thanks for suggesting!

We will add this with the next update as an island building like Scriptorium.

We can add a constructable building too but it will be quite expensive to build (requiring 1 invite of each type).

If you made a constructable building, what would the conversion rate be? Would the conversion be random or player selected? How many exchanges be allowed per day?

Considering that I only use a couple invites out of all of the ones there are (because I feel most of them aren't as useful which has already been thoroughly discussed) I think this would only be useful if I could choose what invite I got out of it. If it was only useable once a day that would be fine since really you can't use more than one invite a day anyways(?).

The conversion will be random once per day. Otherwise it's a huge devaluation of the invites, getting just any invite from the tresure chest or from the trades for 100-500 silver will mean getting any desired invite.

I think the actual problem is that any one invite is more desireable than the other. Some of the uses of certain invites are, well, practically useless. I'm not going to beat a dead horse but I feel like the usefulness of invites needs to be balanced.

If it's just a random exchange once a day I think I'd rather just have it be a building like the scriptorium. Although other people might feel differently.

I think there would be a way to balance being able to choose which invite if you made the conversion 2:1. You give up 2 of one invite in exchange for one you'd like. This would most likely help balance the cost of less desireable invites to that of at least half of those that are highly desired.

I feel like economic balance should be a feature of any new building added to the game. This might help achieve that.
