Hi! I would suggest that we could actually do something with baby pets...we can't sell them, gift them, pound them...they're just there, making you anxious until they are fully grown.

I uderstand that we can't breed or explore them for three days, but maybe selling, gifting, or doing another kind of activity with only baby pets would be nice. (for example, in howrse you could play with your foal, and once they grew up that feature wasn't able anymore)

Personally I'm just glad we can do genetic research on them while they grow up!

And what you're expecting a baby to go explore an island with dangerous monsters or something?

Also, if we can't explore with them then why should we be able to sell them since anyone that bought them would have to wait to actually do anything with them anyways.

Be cute?

Hehe...

It would be cool if we could do something with them though... to jumpstart their training.. like mentor them to another pet. But that would take lots of coding o.0

I agree that a pre-grown-up training would be cool (especially if it gave some small stat boosts). It would take a lot of coding, and also is pretty far from priority... as such, may happen in like 6 months, may never happen.

It's not the same if e can't sell them until they are grown.  What if you need the silvers quickly? Selling a good baby pet would help a lot, instead of having to wait another three days. Also, we can't pound them. What if you are short of space and get an offspring with bad genes? There should be a way for you to get rid of it (selling, gifting, pounding) if you don't want it without having to wait 3 days...

All for the gifting,  What if I'd bred a rare pet of some sort and wanted to surprise a friend with it? by the end of three days, they've likely seen it and guessed

no

I support gifting and possibly selling. While a young pet can't explore, most Beastlords probably have the supplies to care for a young pet. No Pounding, though.

I call Vermillion "Vermi"

I occasionally use an IPad- please excuse spellcheck.

Not being able to explore or quest makes sense. Not being able to sell, gift, or pound doesn't make quite as much sense unless the argument is 'They aren't weaned yet!', which would fall under one of those 'realistic but impractical for a game' things, in my opinion. We're already playing a game about dragons and gryphons, it's not too much of a stretch to assume there's such a thing as Magical Baby Puma Formula™.

I support gifting.  I think a baby pet would make a marvelous gift.

However, I can see an argument against it.  The reason breeding and pet raising takes time is so that breeding pets isn't free.  Having to raise the babies is one of several indirect costs involved in breeding.  If you could gift a baby pet, not only would you have a way to get rid of it early, but people could potentially abuse the privilege by "gifting" pets to others on the condition that the other person "gift" them something in return.

I believe you an already to that 'gifting' stuff with grown up pets, that would be like selling them.

the breeding cost seems to be a valid argument, but there are already other costs of breeding. We can breed our pets for limited times and we have limited space too.
