Is it possible that it only shows up in chests of higher level guardians? Like do you have to explore with a level 50 pet before you start finding manuscripts?

Yes, I got the piece from a treasure chest. I dont remember what lvl the pet I was exploring with was but my highest is 34 I believe. I think it is just super rare and I got lucky I guess. It was maybe the 5th chest I opened and nothing since.

I have somewhere around 50 pets or so I explore with (some more frequently than others) but like I said, I had just started exploring when I found the manuscript page.

Sorry, I just noticed this topic!

If I remember correctly, I actually found mine via a special shop and paid 5K for it. I had no idea it was a communal thing. At the time, I was the first and only one to put a piece up, so I didn't have any context.

Well, a new manuscript part was turned in... DOH! From someone that only have like 10 pets, with the highest level being 20. X_X;

Been exploring all my pets since this started constantly (it has been taking me like 7 hours a day because exploring is so slow!) and nothing.

Still, out there constantly exploring...

These manuscripts must be SUPER RARE! (.01% chance anyone?)

this makes me wonder if manuscripts mostly show up in lower lvl maps >.>

I don't think the level matters. I believe I found mine while using Veysha, my highest level pet (now at 50, but was still fairly high at the time). I think it's just random with really low chances. I get the feeling we were never meant to find any of this stuff quickly.
