Captain's Announcement! STARLUX and BREITLING Unveil Their Latest Collaborative Watch at 10,000 Feet
"Welcome aboard!" Is there any new watch launch more fitting for aviation than an announcement by the captain at 10,000 feet? STARLUX and BREITLING have teamed up again after two years to launch the new STARLUX Airline Edition Navitimer B02 Chronograph 41 Cosmonaute. This time, the launch event was held at 10,000 feet, unveiled on flight JX802 from Taipei to Tokyo. STARLUX Chairman Chang Kuo-Wei personally piloted the flight, and the collaboration was officially announced via the captain's announcement after takeoff. Georges Kern, CEO of House of Brands (a subsidiary of Breitling), also traveled to Taiwan and presented all passengers with limited-edition collaborative ribbons, making the flight an integral part of the watch's story.

Navitimer is a well-known pilot's watch series. For this new product launch, both brands chose to make "flight" itself the true theme of the event. Looking back to 2024, Breitling and STARLUX's first collaboration was unveiled at Taipei 101, Taiwan's tallest building, marking a successful brand collaboration. Two years later, the two companies joined forces again, choosing to move the stage for the new product launch from the Taipei 101 skyline to the clouds, unveiling it at 30,000 feet on flight JX802 from Taipei to Tokyo. This made the captain's announcement more than just a routine, but a ceremony to officially launch this collaboration.
This new collaborative timepiece features a 41mm 18K rose gold case and a unique natural silver meteorite dial. Beyond the rarity and beauty of the material itself, it echoes the interstellar heritage embodied in the "STAR" of the STARLUX brand name. It retains the classic 24-hour display of the Cosmonaute series. The minute track is in STARLUX's signature "Earth Gold," while the sub-dials feature obsidian gray markers and numerals. It is paired with a brown alligator leather strap. The transparent sapphire crystal case back is engraved with the STARLUX logo and the brand slogan "Luxury Beyond Horizons," and the crown is also engraved with the STARLUX logo. Powered by the Breitling B02 manual-winding chronograph movement, it boasts approximately 70 hours of power reserve and is COSC certified.
As House of Brands CEO Georges Kern stated, "The goal of this trip is not to create an unprecedented new product launch, but to allow this watch to embark on a new journey in the most faithful way to the brand's history." STARLUX Airline Founder and Chairman Chang Kuo-wei responded from the perspective of a pilot: "As a pilot, I have always believed that the most reliable tools should be forged from real flight experience, not innovation for innovation's sake. Like the Cosmonaute watch, it was born from space missions and continues its legacy through flight."
