According to the FAQ, "If 2 pets go to the same location but there's a place only for one of them, they will fight and the loser will go back to the Den."
Somehow that didn't happen in my last few pet spaws though, a copy of my Event Log is as follows:
Your catcher saw how a Dragon flew from the Big Field to Waterfall.
Your catcher saw how a Unicorn came from the Heart of the Forest to Waterfall.
Your Reptile catcher caught a Dragon at the Waterfall. See the pet.
Your Reptile catcher entered a fight with a Unicorn at the Waterfall and ran away to save his life.
There's no one at Creek.
Your Reptile catcher failed to catch a Dragon at the Eastern Fields.
Your catcher saw how a Unicorn came from the Magic Glade to Creek.
Your Mammal catcher caught a Unicorn at the Creek. See the pet.
Your catcher saw how a Unicorn came from the Western Fields to Magic Glade.
Your Mammal catcher tried to catch a Unicorn at the Magic Glade and ran away to save his life.
Your catcher saw how a Dragon flew from the Big Field to Waterfall.
Your catcher saw how a Unicorn came from the Heart of the Forest to Waterfall.
Your Mammal catcher entered a fight with a Dragon at the Waterfall and ran away to save his life.
Your catcher saw how a Cockatrice came from the Big tree to Western Fields.
Your Reptile catcher caught a Cockatrice at the Western Fields. See the pet.
You'll notice twice, the Dragon and Unicorn went to the Waterfall together, and first, my Mammal Catcher had to fend off a Dragon (which apparently was the priority in the fight list), and after I put a Reptile Catcher there, even after he caught the Dragon, he still had to fend off the Unicorn.
It's slightly funny to think if the two mobs were both Reptiles, if one Reptile Catcher could actually catch two different mobs in the same turn. P:
