Anyway, I'll leave the portal soon. Wanna capture some vermillion places instead. arete has been camping on either side and repeatedly flailing in the direction of my superior unis, bless her, so here's someone's chance to walk in. :P After I get one more trade.

The only things I've leveled up to 50 are Lykos and one Gryphon.... That's it. I'm a disappointment to my manor

Ice Breath/Ice Aura lykoses with hound, all four in one squad? I don't think it's been done yet. Be nice to see how successful it is. Of course it'll take several tactic wins before they get their Deadly Frost unlocked, but then it's pretty much a slam dunk when it activates. But so often it doesn't...
My tornado roc squad is still more successful than my deadly frost squad, I think.

RaptorKitty - nah it's fine, it was only a little sketch thing. I wanna draw a proper Harpy Eagle griffon soon. Or maybe several; the striking markings could look good in lots of poses. :) Just need to finish some commissions and other stuff first.
arete - hehe, at least it wasn't my other squad, whose 3 unicorns were all gifts from you. It would feel wrong to ever challenge you with them. *teleports them away, respectfully*

I have put the closest thing to Arete's suggested squad that I can currently build into play. Now I just need to stop losing long enough to get Hold the Line. :)
Next, the lykos squad. (By the way, RaptorKitty, I have been swayed to the Ice Breath side of ideal build, though I am still getting one with Musical Larynx too.)

If you want to beat etelia and get crystaline ice, you will need an elemental attack. Shriek and roar don't work on etelia, and they can't be frozen or petrified. So I went for ice breath and elemental resistance.
Battlefield wise, ice aura is very valuable, and it's nice to have Berserker (2 points) and ice breath (up to four points). And of course with Deadly frost you can wipe out every attack your enemy has.
The similar effect of Phobos and Deimos (based on Terror, which is from Fearsome look dragons or Dita) requires your enemy to have at least one negative manoeuvre rolled - so panic, broken bones, hindering etc. Which almost never happens these days. Most people have pets now that have decent genes basically.

Berserker frustrates me because it's useful, but breeding for it negates counterstrike which is also useful. I think I am just going to go for multiple 'ideal' builds for versatility.

For a little while I'm going to give all three squads the same type of pets- One dragon with the Leaderships and Fire Attack, two dragons with Unbridled Attack and Fire Attack, and one roc with two Tornados and a Lightning Attack.
And also, on that note, I've been trying to breed more of those dragons and rocs yesterday but what I got was two devs. I'll post the links in an edit.
