#Lordess,
Just so you know, the player who made this thread hasn't been online in quite a while.
Also, a deviant is a pet born with a rare color/pattern. In order to breed a deviant, both parents must be homozygous for the color or pattern you are trying to get, and you only have a one in ten chance that the offspring will be a deviant. You may have to breed the parents many times before you get one, or you may get lucky and get a deviant on the first try. You'll know if a pet is a deviant if it has an asterisk next to the name of the color or pattern of the pet.
For example, this is a normal black Gryphon:

This is a deviant black Gryphon:

If you look in his genetics tab, you'll notice that the color black is marked with a yellow star, which means he has a rare deviant color. The pattern (cat) is not marked, so he has a normal pattern. If the star had been on the pattern, he would look like this:

A double deviant (https://beastkeeper.com/resources/pets/gryphon/a6_b5_p11.png) is when the deviant pet has a star on both the color and pattern, but those are even harder to get.
I hope this was helpful and not very confusing.
