I've read through the Island exploring guide, and for a long time I was exploring where ever it said the thing I was most urgently looking for was most common.

After a run of less than ideal buildings today though I wondered if maybe I should spend more time hitting islands that have the buildings I like the most?

Or maybe anytime when wood is not the roadblock to progress just hit the Volcano, because it has higher payouts on average?

How do the more experienced players choose which island type to explore?

At the moment I'm exploring at random to try get Tack Workshop items.

But when I want vermillion I just stay on Volcano.
