I was exploring islands with my pet (https://beastkeeper.com/pet/873234) and after she ran out of engery I went to my pets to change her with a fresh pet to continue exploring. I was suprised to see her being pregnant from him (https://beastkeeper.com/pet/1232664) for around 1 minute. So she must have been bred while exploring???

And why him?

I am really sure it wasn't me who choose him, because he has degeneration Grade 2 and I always look for no partners with no degeneration to breed my females...

What has happened?

Did you touch the egg-shaped shrine in the Desert biome?

Honestly I don't know.

But well, if this can cause pregnancy, it might be the answer.

If you touch the shrine, it asks if you want to participate in the Breeding Programme. If you agree your male will be used in a random breeding with someone else's female. You will get ten vermilion. If your pet is female it will get pregnant with another player's random male participant. You will also get ten vermilion. 

Be warned not to use the shrine if your pet has no offspring and you might want to change its sex in the future. A pet with offspring can't change sex.
