Is mutagen helpful? All it did to my pets was change the good genes to bad genes. Just wondering.

Mutagen is...very random........

I once used a mutagen and it changed my black unicorn to chestnut colored. Now I have a chestnut colored unicorn named "Black Glitter". I also used mutagen once on a lightning strike roc but it changed the electric gland to normal organs. Ever since this I've never used mutagen again. Or maybe I did for fun on the ones that I knew I'm gonna pound.

Personally I advise you not to use mutagens on pets with good genes, but if your pet has a million lot of bad genes then try and mutate it. It's fun for me to see the changing genes :). FYI once it changed a normal horn of my unicorn to a diamond horn, so I guess it's good sometimes

I used to have a silver cockatrice named Silver, but now it is a gold cockatrice named Silver. I didn't even mean to use mutagen on it.

Did you use the Magician tree in the jungle biome?

 For the cockatrice, yes.
