A dragon stalks the priarie. She flaps her brown-tan wings and soars over the savannah. A wildebeast snorts and drinks out of the muddy pond.

Hope the council members come soon, thought the hybrid. Why won't they come? My wings are aching looking for food for the grand feast!

The dragon found this a perfect opportunity to strike. She lunged at the wildebeast and grabbed it in her talons, taking flight again. In the distance, she could see a mob of dragons.

They were all the elemental queens. Scorch the Fire, Breeze the Wind, Cliff the Earth, Splash the Water, Vine the Plant, Steel the Metal, Zap the Energy, Vortex the Void, Sun the Light, and Shadow the Night.

And the queens also brought their subjects, too.

Wind: Can blow wind, fly quickly and gracefully, and knock others off.

Earth: Can make rock walls, create landslides, and walk in quicksand.

Water: Breathe underwater, make gusts of water, and swim well

Plant: Make trees and plants, get photosynthesis, and heal others.

Metal: Can control all metal around, rips off scales and they regrow.

Energy: Fly really fast, make bolts of lightning, and has lots of energy.

Void: Create portals, suck in stuff with mouth, fights well

Light: Blind enemies, heal, and gain power from the sun.

Night: Hide in shadows, cover others' eyes with shadows

Night Dragon

Name: Rysra

Age: 1121 years and 4 months

Gender: Female

Job: Hunter

Backstory: She was born to Gold Vein and Black Gold and with 15 other siblings ( including half-sibs)  and she felt excluded from the family. She was Gold Vein's firstborn and Black Gold's secondborn but that dosen't create any extra attention for her. Her parents insisted that she must take a mate at 1150 years but she prefers to not take a mate at all. Rhaegal and Tagath and his friend Camuth were obvisly interested in her, but they weren't her type.

She hates the idea to commiting herself to a mate and children for the rest of her life so instead she spends her time hunting. She is considred an excellent hunter, being able to catch wildebeasts and leaping gazellle and sprinting cheetah when most of her siblings couldn't consider hunting at all.

Remember when Rysra refused to take a mate? Forget it. She fell in love with a dragon named Starflight, a black dragon with no abilites at all except for his genius brain. She met him one day while she was hunting. He was drinking from a stream near a herd of wildebeasts and she was about to scold him for straying too close to her hunting postion until she realized he was studing them! She couldn't understand it until he turned around and after getting startled, explained why.

She was impressed with his genius and took him as a mate a few months later. Her parents weren't too happy with her choice but later on accepted her decision. Currently, Rysra is awaiting to have a child when she is fully mature.
