I'm not sure if this is a bug, but on the catching pets thing the last two times i sent out catchers the overview of that expedition say that the weren't there.  Like this:

There's no one at creek.

There's no one at big tree.

There's no one at waterfall.

But that's where i placed my catchers

Please check FAQ and the guide on the pet catching page. You are not guaranteed to get a pet just by placing a catcher. You need to predict the spot where a pet of a certain class will appear on the next turn, place a catcher with the respective specialization there, and then depending on the spot type and current week modifier you get a certain chance to catch that pet.

that happend to me to there was noone there whrer i put my catchers  to 

I did check that but it said my catchers wasn't even there. 

I don't mind not catching anything, but it didn't even say if they saw anything or not it just said they weren't there

The message you got describes what your catchers have seen. They didn't meet any wild pets on that turn. You don't get any logs for the spots where no catchers are placed.
