Are you talking about Blizzard? It's like Massive Wings, it knocks the opponent down and gives you a bonus turn.
Or are you talking about Ice Heart? It makes them immune to shriek, roar, petrify, blinding, freezing, terror in general.

It lets the pet visit an island without taking a "located island", or even if the number of located islands is zero. So it lets you explore more without waiting, basically. Rocs can have the same gene, it's not limited to etelia.
