What do you think of Minecraft?

I have a weird relationship w/ Minecraft. I'll go through phases where I absolutely love it and will play it constantly. I was in the process of making a giant historically accurate castle last time I was in my Minecraft mood. I'm mostly like it for the building as I generally prefer open games where I create what I want and shape my world how I want it.

However, rn I'm not really feeling it. The idea of sitting down for hours on end putting down blocks after blocks to create something I'll probably never play in (although my siblings love to play in the worlds I create) isn't really appealing to me right now.
