So I'm opening this thread, in case you'd like to know the french for a word. It may help in naming pets, or even choose an username! Anything, really.

How about the French translations for the site's pet species (or any equivalent if there isn't a direct translation)?

Dragons, Cockatrices, Gryphons, Rocs, Pumas, Licornes(unicorns)

Basically always the same unless for the unicorn ^^

Yupee! Haha x3

It's pronunced:

Lee-korn

Korn is pronunced like in Horn but with a K instead of the H.

Are you French, Fya? I'm in my second year at university majoring in French! I'm nowhere near as fluent as I should be, but I'm trying best I can xD

/Unrelated, but I'm currently in a French Musical at my school XD Except only three people in the cast actually know french, so it's been a terror getting the pronunciation right XD Hardest for me to pronounce is "Genderme". That means policeman, right?

*cough* Back on topic. What's the French for "Star"?

Also, what would the french words be for the different elements? Air, Earth, Water, and Fire, that is.

Flying is just throwing yourself at the ground and missing

Yes Rune, I totally am C:

Star > If you mean a celebrity, it's still star, though star as we can see in the sky is étoile.

Air, terre, eau, feu. (order)

And Genderme is not right, it's Gendarme. And yes it does means policeman though we'd rather use "La police" (the police) or "Flic" (though you can't say that to an actual policeman everyone uses this term.
