Does every new tundra level count as a new island? I'd say yes, it says that you have entered a new island upon proceeding through the green portal. I'm curious because I'm using a pet with the scout ability and I'd like to know if the "forgiven loss" can count on each level.

Since each portal level still counts as the same island on your "islands located", my best guess is that it can only be used once every tine you enter the MAIN portal. But I may be wrong, I haven't tried it out. Just a guess :)

I can now confirm that the ability triggers once every new island including the levels!
