Hi^^ I have a question, if I wanted to make a Pearl Lykos, which pair of Lykos would I have to breed?

Check out the List of Skins (Help -> List of Skins, next time), then click Lykos, and search for Pearl.

@Wireath I already did, I just don't quite understand which pair is needed, which is why I'm asking here. ;)

As the table shows, you want your animal to have pearl (skin color) and diluted (skin pattern).
Looking at the list of genes, we see that pearl has a strength of 40, and diluted a strength of 50.
This means that for pearl, grey and red and tan are competitors - they have the same strength and I think that makes it random which color the pet shows if it carries two of them. Other colors are stronger and will keep pearl from displaying regardless.
For the diluted, only merle is weaker. So if the animal carries two copies of diluted, or diluted+merle, it will display diluted. Other genes will overrule it.

So, in short, if you want to be sure your baby is pearl, you need to make sure the baby has:
Skin color: pearl + pearl
Skin pattern: diluted + diluted or diluted + merle

Or, for the parents:
Skin color: ideally 4 copies of pearl between them
Skin pattern: ideally 4 copies of diluted.

If you're having trouble finding those exact matches, or they're too expensive, I'd consider it a calculated risk to have up to one copy of grey/red/tan, and one or maybe two copies of merle. Those would give you about a 75% chance of getting a pearl pup.

@Saccharissa Thanks very much for the help! I'm still getting acquainted with the complex dynamics of breeding. :)

The punnet square is a very useful little trick to know when it comes to this stuff.

That is the typical exampe. You just put the genes for one parent horizontal, the other vertical.
It's an easy way to see what combinations are possible, and how likely they are to occur.

As for the little numbers all genes have, they're very simple. The bigger the number, the stronger the gene. A pet carrying a 90 gene and a 70 gene, will always display the 90 one.

Sorry, I had assumed the table was easy enough to be understood by everyone.

Anyways, what Saccharissa said is correct. What you're suppose to do is:

A. Find what color you want in the List of Skin, in this case Pearl.

B. Look at what color and pattern is needed, A6 (Pearl) and B4 (Diluted).

C. Check their genetic power in the List of Genes.

D. Find pets with copies of these genes, and breed for it.

For breeding genes, you skip steps A & B.

Edit: Saccharissa, you forgot to mention that this is only for one gene, so you'll have to do this for each gene you're looking for, and it only shows you the chances of getting it.. (Also, degeneration can pretty much ruin it :P)

@Wireath That's okay, I'm new around so I'm still learning. Thanks very much for explaining! :)

Ah yes, good point Wireath!
Doesn't degeneration just affect basic stats though?

Degeneration doesn't affect stats directly but it does introduce the possiblity of negative mutations.

Additionally each level of degeneration increases the genetic power of any negative gene by 10. For example, the genetic power of poor hearing is normally 80 but in a pet with level 3 degen it will be 110.
