This is one of the short stories I have written. I'd appreciate some constructive criticism to help me with writing.

A small and tiny kitten was born, he was white with orange patches. His mama decided to have her babies in an old landry hamper that was hidden next to and in the warmth of her owners dryer. When she had her kittens they had many colors, but her favorite was her orange patched Tom that she had named Patches.

In another place and time a cat had raced up a tree and was stuck with no way down. She was a stray that was being chased by a dog. But luckily the tree She was in was high enough for her to climb and not worry about the hound at the trunk of the tree. After awhile the dog's owner came over and dragged the dog away without noticing the cat in the tree.
