I am wondering if there is a sort of mentor type program? A few other sites I have joined usually have one to help new players a bit more.

Elegance, as far as I am aware there is no "formal" mentorship function, but if you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I also tend to have a fair amount of supplies on hand (everything except food), so I will usually respond to requests for aid.

People there tend to be really responsive.
I often have some good pets in my Pound/Giveaways tab. Feel free to ask for one of them.
