I'm not sure if there were complications with the birth or what, but sometimes my female Pumas' pregancies will get to "Time is over" and they won't have the baby. Their status will stay as Pregnant for a couple, to several, minutes afterwards before finally I get the baby pet and the mother can be bred again. I've noticed this lag at different times throughout the day, so it isn't a day resetting issue, so what's going on?

I haven't reported this before since I hadn't taken any screenshots before today. I had a Puma who was pregnant who was going to give birth in 2 minutes, and another in 9, and after 2 minutes there was no baby. Oddly enough the 2 minute baby arrived at the same time as the 9 minute one (and was a double deviant!).

The mother in question is:: http://beastkeeper.com/pet/545387
The father of the baby:: http://beastkeeper.com/pet/531885
The baby's link:: http://beastkeeper.com/pet/566268

The times in the screenshots are 23:08, 23:09, 23:11, and 23:12. I believe there were a few minutes before that that I missed while waiting for the baby to pop up as well.

testing, testing

We're sorry for the inconvenience. This is not a coding bug but a server lag because of the high load. Except the midnight reset, there are several resource consuming tasks that server processes every few hours. This one was the calculation of expeditions for wild pets that happens every 4 hours. It processed all other pending tasks as soon as it finished processing all of the player manors, that's why all delayed babies were born at the same time.

Alright, thanks for the answer and wow was it a quick reply! While I was aware of the expiditions ending every 4 hours at the start of a new week I wasn't aware of just how much stress it put on the system or how it prioritizes the calculations before processing the other tasks such as pregnancies. I'll keep this in mind when/if I experience this lag again in the future.
