Hi, so I have come across this Europa Diversity Genome program thing twice now and I am wondering what it is exactly. If you know then please tell me!!

the fertility shrine in the desert you mean? if you are exploring with a boy, by encountering the fertility shrine and signing him up for the Europa Diversity Genome program his genes become randomly available to everyone.

How this works is, if you are exploring with a female and encounter the fertility shrine, you can choose to get her pregnant. The program will randomly fertilize her with one of the males who previously donated his genes to the program.

In laymans terms, its a sperm bank where girls can get knocked up by a random male whose sperm is stored there.

I also have a question about this;

Do the male's genetics last for eternity, or is it used up once the female is pregnant?

Also, if I remember correctly, they don't calculate if it'll result in inbreds, correct? It's totally random, is what I mean.

Lastly, something Liandralithe forgot to mention, they give you vermillion for this, males is a one time deal, though females aren't.

Once a male's genes have been added he's in the system for good. They can revisit the shrines to update the information if they've leveled up or used any mutagens but they won't recieve additional vermillion.

It is unfortunately possible to get a degenerate from the shrines.

Thanks for the answer, if I got what you're saying right, it's not just one sample, but rather their genetics, so it can be used continuously right? Always thought it was just once, since it said diversity and all.
