It's not letting me leave the tutorial... It says I have to research a gene, but I don't have any coins to do so and it's not letting me try and get any...

Please select an active pet according to the tutorial instructions. Your current pet is pregnant and can't be researched at this moment. You have enough resources to complete this tutorial step.
