I've seen a lot of posts going around on tumblr accusing this site of tracing and art theft. And I don't want to believe them, but the evidence is kind of damning.

Angel did not trace anything. It's probably because the baby gryphon have the same pose as the aywas one.

I know. I'm hoping to hear her side of the story, and I think the style of the griffins are enough to write that off as a coincidence. I really don't want to believe that Angel is a thief, because this site is amazing.

DragonCave had tons of stolen pixel art at the beginning.
Even if the artist has been referencing google images a little too heavily, it's nothing that can't be fixed.

This is extremely disconcerting to me, especially seeing this from a site with so much potential. I had heard rumors of the possibly heavily referenced/borrowed art. Whether borrowed or heavily referenced either one, they should've credited appropriately if permission was gained. On the flip side, I want to believe that the art in question is truly and only temporary. Otherwise, at the end of the Beta period, I will probably be dissuaded and will quit.
It's a shame when amazing potential is met so early on with such damaging evidence. If efforts are not taken to rectify these mishaps, then this site will have been for naught.

I did notice the griffins earlier. Won't stop me from playing this game though. It's quite fun. If they are traced, it's nothing that can't be rectified.

Yeah, I noticed this too... I sincerely hope that the situation is rectified, because this site is so amazing otherwise. There are already users on here doing redraws, I'd love to see the designs in question replaced with less controversial art. :/

I love this site's game mechanics dearly, but this tracing irks me.

Whew, that's a relief. I was sure I'd seen that dragon image before but I couldn't remember where exactly, so I didn't post anything.
