I was torn between posting here or in help. I ended up posting here in case it was a bug.
So I upgraded my Lykos egg from the Holiday Bag to its full potential. However, upon hatching my egg I didn't really find anything special that made the hassle of seeking the liquid vermillion fit the reward. This is the Lykos:

I understand that the genes are all random. And it is only a percentage of better genes... So I could have just had some pretty bad luck, and that's the way it goes. If so, I can live with that. But how high is the percent at each level? If I acquire another egg should I bother with upgrades?
My Lykos has no active beneficial genes, and two (light bones counted) not so good genes. It does have some
nice recessives, but these will be difficult to breed. I have been looking at other Lykos' that people have, and those seem to be much better off, most have a few active beneficial genes. I don know how many had upgrades though. But I maxed out the upgrades on mine. I don't want to sound nitpicky but I feel that for balance of the hassle and time spent acquiring liquid vermillion the reward should be a a good one, with some assurance of a strong pet in"excellent form". Mine doesn't seem to reflect this, at least with active genes.
If I was just unlucky then pay me no mind. I just want to know if the upgrades are actually working as intended and assurance that the upgrades are beneficial and worth the hassle. Though, like I said, I could just be unlucky with bad probability.
I guess what im really seeking is clarification on how the upgrades work.
Thanks Angel. These are a fantastic new pets and I am very excited about them!
