Maybe there should be an "are you sure?" warning.. and besides, there is no reason to be able to hire more than 3 of the same type.
At first I thought you had to hire and place them every time, and even after I understood how it works, I made the mistake a couple times. I have some 8 bird catchers! argh! T.T

I agree! I hired 2-3 because I didn't know what I was doing ;~; , some type of warning would be greatly appreciated.

I'm almost certain you can eventually lose some, though, unless I was hit by a glitch. I had hired two extra Bird Catchers, and after one of the outings, I was down to having 2 Bird Catchers from 3.

Catchers can run away or get killed by a wild pet that is out of their specialization or simply too strong. Catching pets often will use those 12 catchers in several days. The price for hiring catchers is very low, so clicking "Are you sure?" several times a day for every 200 silver coins them will be a nuisance.
