I am considered, by many, as the crazy cat lady although we haven't got that many cats here. I'm currently really tired so if my reply sounds really long winded and escessively worded I do apologise in advanced.
I am a massive cat person. I do like dogs but they scare me, particularly the small ones, and loud ones. Logic tells me bark is often worse than the bite but it never helps.
So we currently have 5 cats here. One is my sisters that we're housing for her until she can find a new place.
We started off with 1 cat, then got a female and waited to long to fix her and kept her litter because it was so small.. Their father passed soon after which was a blow to everyone, kittens included. I believe that being raised together is largely why they get along so well (for cats)
Bubbles is our temporary cat. He's playful and affectionate and oh so sweet. He's black and white and my niece loves him a lot. He's a small cat and always will be but he has the courage of a very big cat. We had to be careful letting him out as he'd try to take on the neighbours tom cat who was 3-4 times the size of him. We've since had little problem.
Tiger is a tabby with a chocolate brown mackeral and in some places pure white. She is the mummy to the rest of the kitties. She's always been quiet (except when she purrs) and skittish. Often she would sit on you for a long period and it wouldn't be until she jumped off that we'd know she was there at all. Probably why she purrs so loudly. We believe one of the girls who lived at the home my friend was staying at, where we got her, was cruel towards the cats and this is why she has particular traits. That and the loss of Mikey, the father of her kittens. She was always skittish but only began to be uneasy about going outside without a human present or the door open for her to run straight in after she found Mikey.
PJ looks identical to her mummy with only a few subtle and obvious differences most notably is the black nose and the size. She has a much more muscular build than Tiger and often much more demanding. She's also incredibly stranger wary and skittish and is the most likely to feel threatened and lash out. She loves to hunt and because of her skill and strength is hard to play with and often destroys toys within a few minutes.
Emmy is... I am Emmy's human. She is incredibly affectionate and incredibly possessive. She becomes very jealous if I show Bubbles attention and has always had a habit of stealing PJ's presents to give to me. She is the second smallest cat in the house, the cat with the longest hair and is utterly vain. She is, should cats really be evil masterminds, the one to watch out for. Often if she is the only cat around she will ignore me. But once another arrives she takes her place on my lap and digs her claws in.I am her territory and I love her.
Funnily enough Slimmy is the biggest cat and the only other Male cat in the house. He is not your typical male cat either. He has behaved in a manor quite uncharactoristicly of male cats and has since he was a kitten. He has never been vary territorial at all and even took Bubbles under his wing in a very motherly way when Bubbles arrived. He's never been much of a hunter and is VERY stubborn. He isn't as demanding as the females though and will happily be moved while asleep as long as he is near you. In fact if you move him without uncurling him he won't adjust to be more comfortable. He's happy as he is. We're worried he might be asthmatic as he has been wheezing since he was little. We haven't taken him to the vet yet to check but we keep the house free of triggers and air out the house more in winter and it's really helped him. Slimmy is an absolute delight to have around.
I'm both big and small in different areas. I'm short, have small hands and feet and can fit in some childrens size hats. Fun little fact lol.
