The counter seems to be stuck. This morning, my item limit showed 83/120, but after I got rid of some of them, it still shows that I have 83 various items even though I actually have 46 left now.
Refreshing didn't do anything and neither did buying items that I didn't have.
I'm using Google Chrome, version 37.0.

You have a lot of unique items on auctions. Items on auctions still take place in your inventory to avoid using it as an infinite warehouse.
