Hello!

I'm a new player, so sorry if this has been discussed, but I'd like to suggest adding the feature to make forum boards and threads that have new posts since a player's last visit look differently! It could just be an icon on the side or making the title a new color...

I'm not sure how custom the forum code you guys are using are, so not sure how complicated this would be to implement, but I think it would be a really useful feature, and being able to quickly check if there's anything new to look at would probably get people to the forums more often. Right now it's a little difficult to judge whether or not I should be spending time on the forums. I know I can subscribe to new posts, but if I want to be active in a lot of threads, that might get kinda crazy.

Thanks!

I've seen this on other sites. Particularily Role Play forums. Usually a red italic "new" appears after the title. However, on Beast Keeper you can tell when someone new has posted just by looking at the name on the most recent post.

I think it would be more useful if we could subscribe to a post or topic and receive some sort of in-site updates.

Nice idea, feel free to share them :)

Oh yes, that's definitely true you can get by but looking at the names. I just think that it would reduce the effort of going onto the forums significantly if we had this feature.

It'd take 1 second to look at whether there was a "new" or if the forum or thread title was bolded as opposed to the 10 - 15 seconds of scanning through each of the names next to the forums, trying to remember whether it was the same name as the last time I checked, and clicking through to double-check the time or the post text if I'm unsure.
