Hello, I am Ellenai and I never have a clue what to write about in the introduction posts... :D

I basicaly found the BeastKeeper by an accident, while browsing through the sea of the endless internet. I am a bit surprised I didn't find out about it ealier, since it looks like a decent time-eater. I have been on quite a few breeding/pet sites in my own time - actualy, I think I saw most of them by now, however I have stayed around longer on a few. I really hope this game will be one of these. It certainly charmed me with unicorns and gryphons, so far. :)

What more can I say... I like to read books. A lot of books. Especialy fantasy and science-fiction, but from time to time I find myself some good horror or pick good ol' Lovecraft to have something to keep me awake at night. I love biology, mythology and to knit in my free time. I am rather quiet and shy person - it is hard for me to start a conversation, however I love to talk and meet new people. :D

I am looking forward to meeting you all! :)

Edit: Edited for typos and grammatical errors. I apologize for my english, I am not a native speaker. ^ ^''

Welcome to BK :)

I have been on many different pet sites too, and while some of them have managed to keep my interest for a rather long time, this is still my favourite. I definitely hope you will enjoy your stay with us :)

If you need any help, feel free to message me or post in the Help section of the forums. Also, I recently wrote a (long) New Player Guide here. If you don't mind the length, I tried to cover most of the questions that I've come across from new players and even some older ones. I hope you can find some interesting tidbits in there.

I love reading too. For the longest time my favourite series were the Belgariad and Malloreon Saga by David Eddings, then came the books by Robin Hobb (Farseer Trilogy, Liveship Traders and The Tawny Man) and then Martin's Song of Ice and Fire (started reading those before the series came out though).

As for non-fantasy I only have one weakness.. The Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward. (paranormal romance series). I'm a real sucker for those. Don't know how often I've read that series by now xD

Biology was always my favourite subject in school and I even studied it for 2 years at University, but gave up on it because as it turned out, it wasn't really for me after all ;) Nonetheless I still find it a fascinating field.

As far as a non-native like myself can say that at least, your English seems absolutely fine to me :) Where are you from?

Humm, that was probably more info than you would have cared for.. I apologize I sometimes start rambling like this.. Sooo, yeah.. Welcome to BK! xD

Thank you! And thank you for the link! I was actualy going to search for a guide asap - this site looks so complicated and rather unusual compared to the most of the petsites I was playing on and I have a hard time figuring what is what. I am sure your guide will be a huge help! :D

My favourite authors include Sapkowski, Pratchett, Tolkien, Lovecraft, Bułyczow and many, many others... I always have a hard time when picking my favourities. :D

One of my most favourite book series which will forever stay close to my heart would be Sapkowski's Witcher - it was one of the first fantasy books I've ever read. And since I'm Polish, I could read all of it in the original, too. ;)

In my case, my long adventures with biology are yet to be over. I think it will be following me everywhere I'll go for now. Along with huge amounts of chemistry. :D

And thank you for saying so! I am trying my best, however I still tend to make a lot of grammatical errors and typos... and don't worry, it was a pleasure to read! :D
