This is probably a really stupid question, but I couldn't find the answer in the FAQ or the help forum, so...

You need 1 vermillion to research a gene, I get that. But does that 1 vermillion only research the gene for the specific pet you use it on, or for all pets that happen to carry that gene?

Sorry if the question isn't really clear...

It is only for the pet you use it on. :)
